About Atefeh Mehraein

Atefeh Mehraein holds a BA in Philosophy from University College London and an MA in Psychoanalytic Studies from Birkbeck, University of London (Department of Psychosocial Studies). She is a psychodynamic psychotherapist and currently works as an honorary psychotherapist at the Camden Psychotherapy Unit (CPU), the East London NHS Foundation Trust Specialist Psychotherapy Services (Donald Winnicott Centre), and Nafsiyat Intercultural Therapy Centre.

She has previously worked across various mental health settings, including Médecins Sans Frontières and Mind. Her clinical and academic interests bridge psychoanalysis, philosophy, history, and literature, with a particular focus on memory, loss, and the symbolic life of the mind.
